For Optimal Oral Health, Be Sure to Keep All Your Dental Appointments

Posted .

Keeping your scheduled dental appointments is crucial for maintaining a healthy smile. We also know how precious time is, and want to make sure that we honor our time with you by giving you the best possible care. We strive to do this for all of our patients.

To make sure your appointment flows as smoothly as planned, we encourage you to schedule a time that won’t conflict with other engagements. To keep your visit on track, and that those of the patients coming after you, we take every consideration to gauge your treatment time, set up the proper equipment and materials for the procedure, and review your chart to be ready when you come in. This allows us to make the most of your time in our office.

We appreciate your efforts to be on time for your appointment. This helps us keep you and our team on schedule. A helpful rule of thumb is to come in 5-10 minutes before your appointment, to avoid traffic delays. If you are a new patient coming to see us, we recommend coming in earlier to give you the time you need to fill out your dental/medical forms.

When you keep your appointments, we can help you spot and treat problems while they are small and most easily treated. This can save you money and pain down the road. We can also review any concerns you may have. It’s important to remember that while most dental plans cover routine dental cleanings, cosmetic dentistry procedures from dental damage isn’t covered. This provides an incentive for you to stay on top of your oral health!

Sometimes it’s tempting to skip or delay your dental visits. Of course, unplanned circumstances may crop up and we try to accommodate rescheduling. It is important to contact us as soon as you learn that you can’t keep your scheduled appointment. Prior to your appointment, we also reach out to you via phone call, email or text to confirm your appointment, and this is a good time to let us know that you are unable to make it. By giving us at least 48-hour advanced notice, we can make the best use of this time to schedule another patient who needs to see the dentist.
